Share your personal referral code with others – for every qualifying account that’s opened using your code you get an entry into our monthly prize draw with a chance to win £100!

How it works:

For our members with online access, you will be able to see your referral code on the notices, you just need to give this code to your referee.
For members without online access, you would need to ask one of the DCU team for your unique code.
Your referee would then add the code on their application form. They choose recommended on the 'how did you hear about us' options and it will ask for the referral code.

Before sharing your code please check that your friend or family member is eligible to join Darlington Credit Union. They need to either live or work within our Common Bond which covers the DL, DH, HG, NE, SR, TS or YO postcode areas or be employed by one of our payroll partners.

To gain entry into the monthly prize draw both your account and the account of the person you referred must be active. For the purposes of this scheme any of the following defines an active account:

A loan being repaid according to schedule
Regular savings of £10 per month or greater
A lump sum savings amount of £25

The winning member will be drawn within the first three days of the month. To maximise the opportunity to meet the qualifying criteria the prize draw entry will be for the month after next. For example if the account is opened in January you will be entered into March’s prize draw.
Each active referral gains one entry into the prize draw with no maximum limit.
There is one prize per month of £100 available which will be divided equally between the referrer and referee and credited to an accessible savings account.
The scheme is designed to run indefinitely however we can stop operating it at any time. If we do we will inform our members by email.
